Siamo arrivati a Vittorito perché eravamo in vacanza a Pescara (da Milano) e ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante...abbiamo mangiato benissimo: porzioni abbondanti e ottima qualita. I prodotti sono tutti del territorio e si sente. Gli gnocchi con i funghi erano fantastici e l'agnello ottimo...ci torneremo sicuramente. Tra l'altro la proprietaria è simpaticissima, disponibilissima e cortesissima

It is great to see this restaurant opened, or should I say reopened in Vittorito. We were welcomed in on a cold February night by the owner (who speaks excellent English to our attempt at Italian) and the staff who were very attentive. A succession of very local dishes were brought to us, helped by generous amounts of local wine. Obviously I made a mistake ordering the antipasto, first and second course and my family had to help me home - but I couldn't resist when I was asked if I wanted anything else! This is not your standard Italian menu, the food is very local and all the better for it. I have attached some photos, including the wonderful second course (fourth photo) We will return and I cannot recommend Il Castello enough.

Abbiamo fatto ritorno a Vittorito dopo molti anni (paese d'origine di mio nonno) e per puro caso, giunti all'orario di pranzo, ci siamo fermati in questa semplice ma accogliente trattoria. La proprietaria, gentilissima, ha subito verificato di avere la pasta gluten free per mia mamma che, con sua somma soddisfazione, è stata accontentata. Raramente vedo mia mamma mangiare un abbondante piatto di pasta così di gusto: in effetti il sugo di verdure, pecorino e salsiccia era ottimo. Io però ho scelto degli gnocchi freschi fatti in casa con funghi e tartufo... davvero spettacolari! Il gusto genuino degli gnocchi e dei funghi è inspiegabile. A seguire, abbiamo condiviso al centro tavola: agnello e patate fritte fatte in casa. L'agnello era di una tenerezza unica e di un sapore mai sentito prima. Abbiamo vissuto momenti sereni in famiglia, nell'autentica atmosfera di paese in cui si conoscono tutti e si respira un clima di pace e relax. Infine abbiamo scoperto che la proprietaria ha vissuto anche nella zona della provincia di Milano da cui proveniamo! La prossima volta a Vittorito, "Il Castello" sarà tappa obbligata! Super consigliato!
